PN-GHS Had a Special Visitor Today
« on: May 18, 2011, 09:45:58 PM »
Congressman Ted Poe stopped by today to speak with PN-G students in the LGI. He gave a nice speech about the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and individual rights and then took questions about current issues and events. The US relationship with Pakistan, domestic energy policy, border security, illegal immigration, the budget, taxes, and the state of the economy were all discussed in an open forum with about a hundred or so students.

It's neat that PN-G students get opportunities like these. Congressman Poe also mentioned that both of his staff members serving at the Beaumont office are PN-G graduates.

The thing about being an Indian is that you're an Indian, no matter what. It doesn't matter if you play soccer or a tuba, it doesn't matter if you're on the football team or the drill team, it doesn't matter if you lead the cheers or the jeers. You're still part of that "Honor, Pride, & Tradition."
